2018 was the last year that I had a big trip, I was able to go to Mumbai for work. And then went 2 more weeks to Cambodia and Vietnam.

It was my first time in Asia, and wow. I think I can only say wow.

From the food (always the food), the history, the views, and most importantly the people, I don’t even know where to start. What I can guarantee is that I’ll be back. Although I don’t like to repeat countries, I know that I didn’t visit even half of what I should.

And, this week I’ll talk a bit about my experience in Cambodia.

Let’s start with a bit of history:

The Southeast Asian Kingdom of Cambodia is a country steeped in history. It originated in the year 802 AD when Jayavarman II declared himself king and established what was known as the “Khmer Empire.” During this period, the Khmer kings oversaw the construction of many temples, including the famous Angkor Wat, a temple complex consisting of over 100 separate buildings. Angkor Wat is currently a World Heritage Site, and in terms of the land area, it holds the record for the largest religious structure in the world. It remains a major tourist attraction, drawing visitors from across the globe.
